SERIES 500 SPECIFICATIONS

Conventional Face Front Laboratory Grade Wood MODULE


Type A / B Surfaces:

Factory-finished hardwood plywood (7-ply minimum) specie is optional and must be specified either P/S Red Oak or R/C uniform Light Maple. Stain selection will be made from samples provided by South Texas Woodmill

Hardwood / Hardwood Plywood Surfaces:

All finished-end conditions

All interior parts of open case or cases with full, clear-glass doors

All bottoms of wall cases 48" or more above floor

All tops of tall cases 48" or more above floor 

All exposed leg and skirt assemblies

All doors and drawer fronts

All face fronts (3/4" thick hardboard)

Type A Surfaces Optional:

All door and drawer fronts (Series 501 plastic laminate door and drawer fronts)

Type C Surfaces:

Factory-finished, softwood plywood (3/4" minimum thickness, 5-ply minimum), suitable for intended uses, specie is optional. Edges match finish selected.

All case body and shelves

Factory-finished, (1/4" minimum thickness) tempered hardboard

All case backs

Type D Surfaces:

Optional material all sound and suitable for intended use.

Edges:

All doors and drawer edges 3mm hardwood

Factory Finishes:

Type A Surfaces:

1. Sanding (120-grit) 

2. Stain (if specified) 

3. Sanding sealer 

4. Sand (220-grit) stearated paper 

5. Two part canalized varnish top coat

Type C Surfaces: 

1. Sanding (120-grit) 

2. Sanding sealer 

3. Sand (220-grit) stearated paper

4. Two part catalized varnish top coat
